Redécouverte d’Allium scaberrimum J. Serres (syn. A. pardoi Loscos) en Afrique du Nord (Algérie)
Résumé
Rediscovery of Allium scaberrimum J. Serres (A. pardoi Loscos syn.) in North Africa (Algeria) Abstract. – A species lost for more than 80 years in North Africa, Allium scaberrimum J. Serres (Amaryllidaceae) has been observed in several localities in northern Algeria, including the three historical regions of presence in the country. Despite its long-term persistence, the rarefaction of its exclusive habitat justifies its current status as a threatened species. This should encourage a better knowledge of its populations on the field as well as ex situ conservation and in situ management actions and reinforcement or reintroduction.
