A comprehensive framework for service appropriation: An exploratory study in the health sector

The purpose of this communication is to suggest acomprehensive framework for service appropriation. First,we presenta literature review on the concept ofappropriation fromdifferent disciplines,like human and social sciences, information systems and marketing. Then, following an exploratory study in the health sector, we proposea conceptual framework of serviceappropriation. Six dimensions are suggested: psychological ownership, evaluatedknowledege, creation,control,individual adaptation and conscientization. A discussion is finally engaged.
