The HUT project « HUman at home projecT » want to understand and evaluate the well being of resident in tomorrow smart home. By observing current uses and anticipating future practices in connection with booming connected technologies and equipment, it is a question of better understanding our relationship with housing and responding to current societal questions: What living conditions in future urban housing, potentially equipped with many sensors, actuators and analysis system? What would be possible, desirable, acceptable (and what would not) to contribute to the well-being of its occupants? The project thus intends to deliver a critical analysis of what this type of habitat can offer but also of the fears it arouses. Mobilized around these questions, 13 research laboratories from the two Universities of Montpellier, ENSAM and IMT Mines d'Alès, as well as the CNRS, the Maison des Sciences de l'Homme Sud, 6 companies, the Métropole of Montpellier, the Occitanie Region and the European Regional Development Fund (FEDER) have been collaborating for more than 4 years around a multidisciplinary platform and an innovative experimental device: an apartment-observatory occupied in-vivo by two students during the college year. This research has been conducted as part of the Human at home projecT (HUT) co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Occitanie Region.
